  1. i started swimming for three weeks and i lost 9 lbs and my bench press went from 165 to 195. and you could see my muscles in more detail after those 3 weeks.

  2. Assuming you are swimming with a fair amount of effort then you should notice improvements in both your fitness and body composition fairly quickly (~a couple of weeks).

    After this initial improvement it is likely that you will notice less of a change as your body will have adapted to this new effort. If you realise that you are not improving as quickly at some point then you need to increase your effort or time swimming.

    So yes, you will loose weight (assuming your diet is also good) and yes you will tone up.

  3. I hope you do better than I am doing – I don’t have a big appetite but don’t get any exercise so I have been going to the gym every day for 8 days and there is no difference yet – I do feel a bit fitter.

  4. i was 17st before i started swimming as soon as i started i seen the benefits i am a lean mean machine! now all the ladies are falling at my feet its terrible i have no time to myself with women fallowing me around and wolf whistling at me ! i feel like an object and not a person help me please
