    My instructor had us go to the deep end a few weeks ago. We had to walk along the wall until we ran out of floor & basically the deeper it got, the more we ended up hanging onto the wall! We actually jumped in the deep end using the Red Cross lifeguard floaty thing. It was fun believe it or not. You can do it!!!

    I just started adult lessons & basically, the key to floating is keeping your body in line. Front floats – face in the water helps; back floats – pushing your hips up & head as far back as possible helps me

    @bashomosko I’m actually still in lessons. I did a Fear of Swimming type lesson which was all about conquering fears. That was helpful, but my lessons now are teaching me strokes/breathing. I’m still not comfortable, and I’m DEFINITELY still afraid of deep water, but I’m making progress!

    I have just started to learn how to swim… I need to improve on my kicking and floating. Funnily I’m very comfortable going under the water and swim out to the top.

    @leaderOFlosers me too. i’m 24 and can’t float lol I just begin to learn how to swim at a local gym($26/month membership). hope we all can float soon.

    @Cleopatra15 – everyone in this piece was scared of drowning too and none of them did while we were filming! lol. seriously though, it’s that fear that keeps people from learning. go slow and get comfortable. the more comfortable you are, the better you’ll do.

    hey guys why dont you try ti swim total immersion swim. It’s a great method , you can google it or check it out here.
    It’s great they teach you first how to feel comfortable in the water then the rest is just kind of simple. I love water and it changed my life. Good luck.
